Digital IC Design

As a part of Digital IC Design team, with mentorship, you will take part in creating and refining the design requirements up to the architecture level, creating/upgrading RTL design of various blocks starting from simple components up to the complex IPs, creating systems that comply with common industry standards for the complex SoC. You will learn important aspects of CDC/RDC, how to optimize PPA (Power-Performance-Area) of your design, how to write and run basic tests to validate functional correctness of your design and so much more.

What competencies we are looking for:

• Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Electronics), or a final year student
• Coursework focusing on digital logic design
• Understanding of mixed-signal and RF is considered a plus
• Understanding of the FSM design, uC architectures is considered a plus
• Familiarity with RTL structures in VHDL or Verilog is considered a plus
• Basic C knowledge is required
• Basic knowledge of at least one scripting language (Perl, Python)
• Good debugging skills
• Ability to work efficiently both in team and independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in digital IC design, verification, synthesis, STA or silicon prototyping is considered a big plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Available for 6 months or more

If completion of the internship were to be successful, results can be used for writing of B.Sc. or M.Sc. thesis, subject to approval by the supervising professor at the University and Novelic. Moreover, satisfying results of the full-time internship will increase the chance of full-time position within the Novelic Design Centre in Belgrade to the graduated intern.
