NOVELIC 2023 In Review
For NOVELIC, the year 2023 was marked by radical strategic changes, expansion on several continents, heavy promotion of our technology and know-how, and success. This is a recap of some of the most important things we will remember this year for:
Leadership and Strategy
NOVELIC partnered with Sona Comstar, a global leader in transmission solutions for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and a leader in drive motors for EVs in India. We became a part of Sona Comstar Group while continuing to work as a fully independent entity operating under the existing management, making a planned strategic shift toward product development.
Promoted to a Preferred Partner of Infineon Technologies
As a result of years of successful collaboration, NOVELIC has joined the Infineon Partner Ecosystem as a Preferred Partner. This was a significant milestone for our company, providing us with enhanced market access and offerings based on various Infineon products and application experience.
Global Scaling
Americas Expansion and new Sales VP
The company increased its presence in the North American automotive OEM and Tier 1 market, which was supported by appointing a new Sales VP for the Americas, Mr. Tony Pivo. A seasoned sales strategist and tactician with three decades of rainmaking experience, Mr. Pivo was this year’s key contributor to the global growth of NOVELIC.
In 2023, NOVELIC expanded its facilities to another country, opening an Excellence Software Center in Skoplje, the capital of North Macedonia. We have ambitious plans for the Skoplje office, which is to become one of the pillars of embedded software development in the company.
Trade Shows, Conferences, and Tech Meetups
As we are striving to stay in the lead of technological innovation in the areas of radar and perception systems, embedded engineering, and semiconductors, NOVELIC is dedicating a significant amount of resources to promoting these new solutions at the most important industry events worldwide. This is where
- CES Las Vegas – exhibited our mmWave radar sensor solutions for automotive, IoT, and several other industries
- Auto Expo India – presented our radar sensor portfolio as part of the Sona Comstar booth
- InCabin Phoenix – as a partner of the event, we had Dr. Veselin Brankovic give a presentation on our latest technology and demoed flawless detection
- The Security Event Birmingham – our first venture into the security market
- LightFair New York – scaled our smart lighting solution to the North American market
- IAA Mobility Munich – brought the best of our tech to the world’s largest mobility event
- MOVE Austin – showcased 3 of our mobility programs for parking sensing, in-cabin monitoring, and SDV engineering
- Autotech Council Science Fair Silicon Valley – our cofounder, Dr. Veselin Brankovic, presented the capabilities of NOVELIC’s software-defined short-range radar sensor
- Smart Building Expo Milan – premiered elevator and escalator control solutions along with smart lighting and sensor fusion capabilities
- SAE International Meetup Silicon Valley – our VP of Sales Americas, Tony Pivo, gave a talk on our advancements in the field of software-defined radar
People of NOVELIC
And lastly, what we are the most proud of are the individual and joint achievements of our employees. We strive for growth and excellence in everything we do, professionally and personally. In 2023, we celebrated academic achievements like PhDs and had our engineers’ papers presented at some of the most prestigious conferences in the world like IEE EUROCON 2023. We ran marathons, supported humanitarian projects, won sports competitions. One of our teams helped build MAXP, an online learning platform helping young people develop their entrepreneurial skills.
